I disagree. This type of web application should be designed for ease of use, speed and performance and not emotional visual appeal. But I find it hard to see any use for the application. Serving the submitted webpage in an iframe is no different from what the user could achieve by resizing the browser window. Chromes developer tools does much more than resizing the page it also sends device user agent strings and emulates touch events.

Don't take this the wrong way. I think you have done a good job but I am afraid there are much better tools that does the same as your app.

its not bad but maybe:

 

• more line spacing within the text and shorter paragraphs.
• im not keen on the first banner, it looks very squashed and too condensed

otherwise i think it's fine for the purpose, maybe needs a little more colour? i know the subject of the website doesn't encourage visual appeal but i still feel the colour scheme is a little too bland.

As for design, I'm not sure about using the standard Bootstrap layout. If you're using BS I would at least change colors, that's the only turnoff for me. The idea itself is pretty cool, but as Nillervision stated Dev Tools does that and more. I guess if you're targeting less savvy people that want to see if their web designer has done their job or not, that would work.

I think that look of the site is perfectly fine, it's a tool for developers not the end client, and I doubt many clients would check to see that their site was responsive or not. There are some tweeks you could do to the text/layout etc but they would be small. I am experiencing some strange behaviour, when I enter http://muse.adobe.com/ and then ask to render on a device instead of testing the site it goes to the site itself.

I would create bigger distances between the rows. for example the placeholder for the website url would be more appealing if it was twice the size. i mean the background. Maybe the placeholder's width could be a little bit bigger. After the h2 Our Website Responsive test makes your life easy you could use a hr and a bigger distance. Just try it
