June 28, 200818 yr Any ideas on how I get a image to be reflected. Soo you got an image and it has a reflection under it how do I do this ???? Thanks in advance
June 28, 200818 yr You mean like one of the logo's in my portfolio? (link below) I do it in photoshop.
June 29, 200818 yr yeah, open up photoshop, copy the logo, paste it into a new layer directly below, press ctrl + t > flip verticly and play around with the size and the opacity of the layer.
June 29, 200818 yr The quick way (for explanation purpose, i actually do it a bit differently but gives the same effect) 1) I would open it in photoshop 2)make a copy of it.(if it's multiple layer merge the copied version together.) 3)flip vert 4)lower the opacity of it to 35% or whatever you want. 5) transform it and shrink it up horizontally just a little bit 6)select the eraser tool, and lower the hardness all the way down. 7) in the eraser options make the opacity to 50%, and make the size a pretty large size 8.) slide it on the bottom (hold shift so its a straight line) and fade out the bottom section a bit more then the top of the reflection to give it depth
June 29, 200818 yr Also for the lazy or non Photoshop dude, or for multiple images ... there are always alternatives like the javascript reflection
June 29, 200818 yr This is my method. Once finished image to be reflected, flatten image. Click on the Create Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers palette. Duplicate image onto new layer and set mode to screen and the opacity at about 60%. Go to Edit, Free Transform. Click-drag the top center handle down beyond the bottom of the transform bounding box, then drag the bottom center handle up to create the inverted reflection. Apply the transform and use the move tool to position if needed.

I like those ones cause if you don't have access to a editing program or something you can just use that stuff.. pretty cool, Checked out the tabs generator too, thats not too shabby either

June 30, 200818 yr I am glad you like it even if i did not make it i thought you would slaughter me for posting the link. haha nope I've used stuff like that when i first started my job and they didnt have any graphic software for me yet, wasn't the best but it was better than what I could do with MS paint. so i can't knock it haha. Besides I'm not the kinda person to slaughter people. I would constructively say NO! lol.
June 30, 200818 yr Set the opacity on the eraser down somewhat, and fade the reflection off, for a better effect.
