I've done a few websites here and there but mainly brochure type things. My last one was slightly different in that I used wordpress as a cms and designed a front end for it.

 

Now I have potentially two jobs lined up but both will require an element of online shopping. I was thinking I would probably have to tackle something like joomla for this? or is there an easier option?. In both cases there would'nt be a huge range of products on the sites.

 

any help or pointers would be much appriciated.

I will take a look at a few of the suggestions made there.

the best thing to use for ecommerce website is to use zencart, oscommerce and magneto......try this out and if you think that you are not comfotable with it PM me....I will give you guidance..

Do you have any programming knowledge? If you do I can provide a tutorial on how to write your own shopping cart. I just recently worked on a big project called Wikilime. Its a shopping cart solution that people sign up to where they can build and customise their own cart.
