October 17, 201411 yr I've no idea where to start. I need to make a one page, basic website which describes myself and what I do. I need it to be responsive also so I need a framework to use. No idea what colour scheme to use or what web fonts to use either. Thinking a white background with dark grey headings and lighter grey paragraphs. If anyone could suggest a framework to use then please do. Stuck between Bootstrap and Zurb Foundation at the moment. Regards, Pad
October 17, 201411 yr Try Bootstrap. Popular and easy to use with a basic understanding of HTML and a quick read through the documentation and examples provided. This covers your responsive aspect too. Use Adobe Kuler to pick a colourscheme your like. For web fonts, use Google Web Fonts and just pick the one you like the look of. Again, easy to do if you have a basic understanding of HTML and CSS. Shouldn't take more than a few hours for you to build something decent looking. Or use the templates bootstrap provides if you're really stuck and modify that way.
October 17, 201411 yr There are a lot of frameworks you could use. There's one called the "Skeleton" framework, which is a small framework with 3 content areas in the middle, reduce it to mobile size and it only shows one till you scroll down etc. There's also the 960 grid system, although that requires you to have knowledge in web development if you're building it yourself. If it's just a basic portfolio style, then you could just use wordpress (if you don't want to build it yourself) and just use a theme since they're all responsive.
October 18, 201411 yr in fact as said, there is a lot of good frameworks to make a Portfolio responsive page.. Bootstrap is the best! complete and easy to use... Wordpress is another way to create a nice responsive portfolio website... so you have a plenty choices!

Regards, Pad Bootstrap or Zurb which ever you think its easy for you, its a matter of preference rather than which one is better as they are both such great frameworks. Some prefer lighter framework than those two, but I personally like Zurb. October 18, 201411 yr I think bootstrap might be ott for such a small site, something like http://unsemantic.com might be more suitable as a framework, I like kular for colur pallets but I also look at the colour combinations others have used on their websites, I would also check other sites out for font combinations.
