just finished this site

 

this is one of the first dark design i do, i usually don't do dark designs, i wanted to try it out and see what i can come up

 

i'd love some feedback

 

i've tested the site in every browsers, we still need to work on the copy and finalize some stuff

Fix your typography. Decrease content font sizes and increase the line height also the nav text turn on Anti-aliasing....

and make a cool logo .

Now, this is only a guess, but are you French Canadian? I say this because your copy has lots of mistakes where plurals aren't used or don't match the associated article - that's usually a sign of someone who's first language is latin-based (French, Spanish, Italian etc.). Sorry if I got that wrong - but you do need to fix that.

There is also a lot of "We" then "I" going-on. You need to make sure you consistently use one way to refer to yourself.

On top of that I would say your copy is very "me" orientated and passive - it doesn't sell anything to me or tell me what I might expect from you. Also don't be afraid to put plenty of personilty into your copy - a creative environment (web design) should be vibrant.

I can see the potential for this site and it won't take too much to achieve it.

as for the anti alias of the nav that's weird i've tested it in a bunch of machines and the ones that dont have impact install revert to the other font and it looks ok. might just go the old Sifr route but i wanted to avoid that.

Hum, I think the main problem is that the site doesn't sell itself well enough. My first impression was that the title is very cluttered and the filenames seem like an attempt at plugging keywords. You're also using Javascript where it isn't needed; there's plenty of room to accommodate the updates so why bother hiding half of them?

thanks for the feedback, working on the copy during the next few days.

 

the updates will be more frequent and that's why i chose to go with panels, the original version had no panel and created a page with too much text, i wanted to create something that breath more.

To me this looks like a punk rock site! If you took away the logo that in my opinion doesn't site too well there, then It wouldn't be imediately obvious that it was a site of creative nature, it looks like a band bio site (maybe thats just cos a lot of band bios use that "punk rock pink" but i dont know).
