Just a quick one because im really tired, but thought if I put it up now, I might have some work to do tomorrow.

 

Basically im working on a new company website, and want a few pointers on possible improvements. Even the text could be looked at if Wizely is about.

I think it looks nice. I like the hill and the header generally. I would however say the footer looks a little odd (lose the ! at the end of "Links!") and its a little imbalaned because the sidebars are so long yet the main content is short. Also, I would get rid of all that horrible Times New Roman and replace it all with something like Georgia (it looks like your main body text is that already, but what about the rest?). At least on Windows TimesNR looks really horrible and it looks like you forgot to style your text properly.

Wizely will I'm sure be able to offer more comprehensive advice for the copy though, I'm just correcting what stood out to me the most on the homepage.

Couple of things i noticed,

 

- Your Hill has some graphical imperfections at it's base. All in all the hill looks a bit childish probably due to it odd width / height. try making it look like a real hill.

- coloring of you menu doesn't quite work for me, the green letters on green background lack contrast the text green is very bright.

- Dont really understand the use of Times new Roman doesn't really go with the style of the website.

- Font size / coloring is in consistant, makes it all look a bit messy. You footer links also have no coloring. All looks a bit Chaotic.

- your content seems to be somewhat floating. Maybe you can add a border somewhere.

 

Hope i didnt scare you , your website has potention, but still needs a lot of work.

Agree with most of what has been said. I don't know about fonts though, in my opinion the fonts need to be a lot smaller as well as a different typeface. Keep going though matey.

Nice spotting Splashtech. Um... the rest of the copy is a little shaky and there are quite a few errors - including the classic "We" and "I" confusion. Before getting into any detail I would strongly recommend you think about what it is visitors to your site would want to read and where, what you really want to say and where you'd like to guide them. At the moment it's like most sites I see - a barebones list of things on offer, what you do etc.

But don't despair... you have at least put some nice little personal touches into some of the copy, just take it further - flesh-out the bones and try to bring it all together.
