July 9, 201412 yr Okay, before I start.. Sorry if this is the wrong section, wasn't sure of where else to put it. Anyway, title may be a bit misleading but I just generally need some ideas/feedback/suggestions on how to launch a successful project/site. I've been working on my project for the past 4-5 months (planning ideas, features, user experience, unique features and so on.) and I've only recently started coding the design. However, the more close I get to finishing, the more it 'scares' me as such, about how it's all going to go once it's finally finished. I don't want to sound like just some other kid launching something he hasn't thought about in any way, this is something serious that I'm putting a lot of time and money in to, incase anyone was wondering Anyhow, pre-launch I have thought of events such as social media promotion, write-ups on forums about what the project is, messaging a few contacts I know about the site and relying on them for "word by mouth" promotion. Does anyone else have any other ideas that help to almost pre-build an audience before a project officially opens? Thanks all.
