Bowser Problem

Featured Replies

Hi All

I've got a weird problem. With exactly the same html/css file the image displays on IE and HTML-KIT but it doesn't display on Firefox. How do I resolve this problem? I've tried virtually everything :rolleyes:

this is where i got the image from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Bartholom...;s_Day_massacre

See html/css below.

Regards to all

The imge path is wrong - C:/users/llewelyn tudor/desktop/Francois_Dubois_001.jpg is the path to the image on your computer.

It needs to be relative to the page on your web server, ie

<img src="Francois_Dubois_001.jpg" alt="Francois_Dubois" />

or if you have your images in a sub folder

<img src="images/Francois_Dubois_001.jpg" alt="Francois_Dubois" />

Hi Luigie

Are you trying this locally, or have you a link, where is the image located, have you checked the the upper and lower case letters are the same in the html as the actual file.

Pat

EDIT: Just checked the image you have, if you saved it as it was, its actually named 180px-Francois_Dubois_001.jpg

try replacin your code with this

Hi Pat

Thanks!

I tried putting 180px- before the name and it doesn't display on any browser. I've now re-done the whole page with two images.

both images appear correctly on IE and HTML-Kit but NOT on firefox.

here is the latest copy/paste:

Ok

Start with the obvious, have you disabled firefox from showing images, tools,options, content, load images automatically.

where are you saving your html file to, if its not in its own folder, put it in one and create another folder in there called images, put your images in the images folder and change your html to this.

<img src="images/floralrose0659.jpg" alt="The Rose" width="320" height="240" id="therose" />

<img src="images/Francois_Dubois_001.jpg" alt="Francois_Dubois" />

Give it a go
