  1. Hi wizely Sorry I've been so long in making the alteration that you suggested but I've been otherwise employed. Please have a look at the changes made, any more suggestions would be most appreciated. http://www.tudor.eu.com/knifeandguncrime.html Best regards luigie

  3. Hi All wow! you guys have really given me something to think about and digest. I'll put some more thought into it and make some changes. One thing that I don't agree with If a person carries a dangerous weapon he is potentially an army type. If no one carried a dangerous weapon no one would get killed. So, in my opinion, it is not 'a bit harsh'.Thanks once again. Best regards luigie
  4. Hi Dizi Thanx for your comments, which I appreciate, without criticism we can get nowhere in this life. And no I don't think you were being nasty! As regards the web page, I think I'm the only one advocating National Service as opposed to Jail. National Service will turn them into men, Jail will turn them into criminals (And 'heaven knows' we have more than enough criminals). National Service will give them some sort of training (eg. Driving trucks or tanks, using various electronics etc), Jail will give them a criminal record and virtually drive them into a criminal lifestyle outside of the mainstream of society. I really hope you and others will support this approach. By the way, do you like my web page (for a relative beginner) http://www.tudor.eu.com/knifeandguncrime.html Best regards luigie
  5. Hi Guys I've only had one suggestion and that is to ask everyone to send it to all the names on their data base if they're serious about knife and gun crime. So please do this in the interest of some poor kid who is going to die on our streets from some form of violence: http://www.tudor.eu.com/knifeandguncrime.html go for it guys!!! Best regards luigie

    Hi All Putting a form onto a web page is easy enough, see coding below. However, when a prospective client 'pushes' the submit button, how do i get this info to me? What additional coding to I need? xhtml: <form action="/cgi-bin/guestbook.pl" method="get"> <fieldset id="signup"> <label for="first"> Full Name:</label> <input type="text name="firstname" id="first" /><br /> <label for="first"> Your Email address:</label> <input type="text name="firstname" id="first" /><br /> <label for="first">Est. # of pages for website:</label> <input type="text name="firstname" id="first" /><br /> <label for=""nick">Your nickname: </label> <input type="text" name="nickname" id="nick" /><br /> <label for="desc">Famous for:</label> <textarea rows="10" cols="25" id="desc">Keywords for your business and/or for your Personal page:</textarea><br /> <input type="submit" value="submit" id="subbutton" /> </fieldset </form> </div> css: fieldset { font-family: Verdana, Ariel, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; background-color: #CCCCCC; padding: 12px; border: medium double #666; width: 30em; } label { width: 6em; float: left; text-align: right; margin: .5em 1em; clear: both; } input, textarea { float: left; margin: .5em 0; width: 250px; } #subbutton { float: none; width: auto; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 7em; clear: both; } br { clear: both; } Your help is 'urgently' needed Best regards luigie

Hi ElanMan Thanks! Sounds like very good advice, I'll study that and report back. It's always difficult when you're trying to teach yourself and unless someone points you in the right direction you can get it all wrong. Just a matter of interest, is there a maximum of number of absolute positions you should have on a web page? Best regards luigie :yahoo:
