Should I bother learning depreciated elements/attributes?

Featured Replies

Asking this because there seems to be a bit of elements/attributes that are depreciated. Do you think that someone new to html/css should bother learning deprecated elements and or attributes? Will there be any compatibility issues?

It's a good idea to learn what the depracated tags are so you know what they did and what the alternatives are. Then you just don't use them, but will know why.

In my opinion, no don't bother. If you know they are depreciated then don't bother using them. If you need to know what they are in the future a quick google search will tell you what you need to know. The only reason I can see is if you are editing someone elses (old) code.
