I was thinking about having a go at Designing a template for WordPress or a forum CMS, I never done one before and I like having a go at new things. What forum and blog CMS are the best/ easiest to start with? I was thinking phpbb 3 or 2.

Yes phpBB or Wordpress are obvious candidates. If you head on over to the developer sites you'll find guides and other useful info for making your own.

Well, you want phpbbplus? There is only one version. If you think of classic phpBB for forums, than it is phpBB 2 - older, but more stable with tons of mods.

Not sure about phpbbplus but i've just done my first WordPress Design, Still needs abit of work though, its alot simpler than I first thought!

phpBB version 3 is the current stable release - don't use version 2, it's outdated!
