June 5, 200818 yr And believe it or not there is not flash! :o :o wow not bad. I like how they gave depth to the site. below the top menu and above the left menu how it goes back.
June 5, 200818 yr i don't think i would say the "the best site ever" personally.. but it is a mighty fine site !
June 6, 200818 yr Not sure I can see what's amazing about it - its not a bad site but a bit too slick for my liking. I don't find it all that attractive and I think visitors with visual impairments would struggle reading that black-on-dark grey. The glow effect on roll-overs is nicely done - but way over-used in my view.
June 6, 200818 yr Author Well... It might be over used, but I can tell you one thing. They know what they're doing as far as code goes.
June 6, 200818 yr It's a pretty website, but behind the scenes it's not all that great. The developer seems to have something against IE and IE7 as being "incompetent", yet he is the one who isn't competent enough to make his website work properly with all his fancy Javascript disabled.
June 6, 200818 yr very true.. if you are going to make a very heavy javascript site.. at least make sure you have a backup plan...
June 7, 200818 yr It's a pretty website, but behind the scenes it's not all that great. The developer seems to have something against IE and IE7 as being "incompetent", yet he is the one who isn't competent enough to make his website work properly with all his fancy Javascript disabled. It works for me with javascript disabled?
June 9, 200818 yr Well no ofcourse not, but the site is more than usable.. its not really a big deal I don't think it's a very good site. I do love the black so plenty to pinch for what I was planning, I just think it's too dark. The menu black on dark grey is plain stupid and shows no thinking of their customers and colour theory. - so shows lack of experience. Having said that, I like the 3d effect in this, I think it's wasted here, it has the 3d effect, but NOTHING IS 3D! I think I can take that concept and make it work better - really use the 3D depth, for a 3D menu or something.. It someways I think a lot of people are doing these web2.0 sites, focussed on how they look, but not on long term functionality. like the fact it doesn't use flash..... flash is for animation not websites people !
June 9, 200818 yr Why are you quoting me? I didn't say it was good. And flash elements can work very well on websites depending on how they are used.
June 29, 200818 yr I'm not that impressed. It looks nice, but I wouldn't say the best site ever. I think Rob's is much more impressive. Like everyone said to me about my gradients, I don't like their gradients. Not Bad though.
June 29, 200818 yr Not impressed. Too much metal. Also, the 3D doesn't work - it must defy some physics principle or other, because it doesn't look realistic. I'm with Seth on this one (though not on everything ) - Rawkes beats it to a pulp.
June 30, 200818 yr this website is really cool.......website design is done using depth of javascripot and it has impressed me a lot..... however considering a fact that googlebot ignores javascripts......
