Why Wont .imageBox img:hover Work? Will Pay!

Featured Replies

Hey Guys,

I'm trying to change the colour of an image (add an overlay) on hover, but i can't get it working for the life of me. Anyone who can give me an answer, I'll pay $10 to your PayPal account.

.imageBox img:hover

Basically I want some text to appear on hover in one colour, say black, but I want the picture to change colour (say white) when hovered. So the picture turns white with black text on hover.

Hey Web Guru, I managed to fix this myself a bit earlier on. The selector was correct but I had the hover effect background colour on the wrong selector, hence why it wasn't working. Thanks for being willing to help me though.

Good to hear you fixed it, but in future don't offer to keep paying money. Experienced developers come here to help voluntarily and never expect a fee, that would be morbid. Just ask in future. ;)

That's cool. The way I saw it is these people have rightfully learned the technical skills and for helping me fix something that was time sensitive, a few dollars was nothing. But I now appreciate people really are here to help, which is great. Not enough people go out of their way to help others anymore.
