How to recover website from penguin updates

Featured Replies

Hi,

I need advice that how to recover website that is hit by Google penguin updates.

My website http://www.fatbit.com ranked at 1st position in google search engine but after penguin updates i lost my ranking and my website get disappeared.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

if you have dropped in google after any update you need to look at why?

are there duplicate content issues? do you have bad links linking to your site?

If you have access to Microsoft IIS or screaming frog then do a crawl. This may raise any onsite issues.

AS for the links use http://www.opensiteexplorer.org to check your backlink profile and if there are too many links that may be affecting your site then try removing them.

If your site is hitted by Google penguin update, than go to your sites back link profile and try to remove low quality links. Disawow all bad links , the links which are irrelevant and low quilty.

First of all check your site On-page, and then go for analysis your backlinks and backlink status. And check those KW’s whose rank down (means % of link comes from those KW’s). If possible to remove some of your low quality links or diversify those links with ling tails KW. Thanks

IF you want to recover your website ranking, you can check your backlink and remove spamming link or low quality link. you can also check your webpage content. if your webpage content is duplicate, you need to change your webpage content.

After penguin udates make a check on your all past back links and do some audit on it.More focus on quality of links rather than quantity.

If you have been panalized by google or other reason you want to know what should you do it so let me tell you now you have to create new meta for you whole website and resubmit your site in major search engines sites. After create one blog sections in your site and upload some cool and informative blog in it. Publish one blog in these sites blogspot, wordpress, webly and tumblr. After start directory submission, social bookmarking, smo and others high pr sites and use all published blog url.

In Penguin updates, those sites were penalized which were involved in building unnatural links or low quality links, so to recover you need to check your overall link profile, if you have use the same anchor text again and again, you need to correct it so that it would look natural.

Hi, i have de-penalized several websites, there is a standard way in which you have to post an xls file in the section, it is rather easy but info is not well available. if you msg me in pvt i will send you a blank model.

If you received the email above (note you must be using Google Webmaster) check out the google webmaster guidelines, double check and see if you have done anything untoward in Google's eyes. But it is very loosely worded!

Make the necessary changes and submit a frank and detailed report to Google telling them what you or your SEO did, in order to receive a reconsideration request. If you don't they will ignore your request. This apparently takes several weeks!

According to Ahrefs, you have a huge increase of referring pages around the 25 of September (which probably means a few days before this as it takes time to update its system), however not many more referring domains. This undoubtedly the problem. Too many low ranking referring pages from the same IP address.

Your keyword anchor tags are pretty well spread, which is good!

However if you are linking from the websites you create and they are not related to your industry (web design) this may also be causing a problem.

My advice, looking for industry specific related webpages that are performing well in Google and stick to those for backlinks. If you do want to link to your website via the websites you have created, but they are not industry related then link to your site via the homepage only, this way you are getting just the high quality link and it abides by the Penguin update.

Good luck!
