Just installed photoshop plugin for this :)

Been re-working a joomla site i built for a client and changed the favourite icon to match his logo.

Not to hard to do, but it won't show in internet explorer just firefix? any ideas?

Seems its an IE thing, basically if they add your site to favourites it should display in IE else it won't until IE7

Well, at least the FF users will see it :) better than seeing the joomla logo.

What's the photoshop plugin? I use Fireworks to design my site layouts, and an online widget to create my favicons:

Can you create Favicons in photoshop easily? Mind you I'm still on Photoshop v7.0 and the plugin is probably for the CS version.

Yes it is a CS2 one but might work with earlier versions, it is very easy just like working with any other kind of extention once installed.

or CS even, think i was replying to an online gaming forum with CS2 lol

ICOFormat_1.6f9_win.zip

I'll have to get CS for my PC then - mind you I might have that on my Mac - will go and check - but I bet that's a download for PC and then I'm stuffed!

  • 1 year later...

I noticed a few days ago that Sky Sports favicon rotates!!!

Anyone know how that works?

Here's another one: Genfavicon.

@liquid: I think they create an animated GIF effectively then convert is to an ico file whilst maintaining the animation. As for the exact ins and outs...erm...dunno :D

I've done a few animated gifs, so I'll give it a go

cheers:D
