Hi There

Featured Replies

My name is Laurence and I'm in a mad rush to learn a bit of web coding to aid my graphic design.

I'm not sure I like it at the moment to be honest but that's mainly because I can't even get my website to show up after I've uploaded my files!

Nice to meet you anyway, I think I'll be here for a long time ha

Welcome to the forum :)

I guess it depends on what you're trying to learn and in what amount of time. If you're learning anything and don't have an interest in it, you'll not going to learn as much (or obviously enjoy it).

If you're doing graphic design, then the prime area for learning would be CSS to make your stuff pretty. Depending on your experience and interest, if you jump into say something like PHP, you might find it a struggle...

Good luck with whatever it is you're doing. If you need help along the way, post your queries up in the relevant forum section :)

ATM I'm just getting my basic portfolio website up in time for an interview the day after tomorrow so trying to learn HTML and CSS at the speed of light ha. I've actually managed to get the first page up now so I've loosened up a bit. Thanks for the welcome!

Bit of a deadline then? ;) Good luck with it. If you get stuck, give us a shout :D

Hello and welcome. I hope "mad rush" is more like "being madly motivated", not "working under pressure" ;).
