Can't wake Notbanksy up! Suggestions?

Featured Replies

Ok, I've tried everything! And it's not working. I've tried 'honey, wake up' in a soothing tone, I've tried 'honey wake up' in a slightly less soothing tone, and I've tried 'honey wake the f**k UP!' ;) BUT, he just keeps saying 'yeah ok' and then falling asleep again. Any suggestions??! :D

And....I've made two cups of tea, both now cold!

Well I can think of a few things that would get me up, but they don't involve talking or tea

Um....that will just encourage morning expectations!

Tea might be a bit cruel especially if theres sugar in it :p but some harmless cold water definitly :)

Then he probably has no reason to wake up at all :p he'll just stay in bed forever

....godsdamnit....

I woke up to the tune of "Honey, your web design forum is broken. It doesn't work any more..."

No more lie in for me....

*yawns*

cup of tea?

Yes please mate! Could do with something stronger though, just found out I'm going back to full-time employment for a while. *must be mad*

That sounds tiring... tell us more....

*pours tea, still yawning*

*sips on the tea*

I used to be employed full time as a web developer in London but I left after a year to pursue my freelance career and apply to University again. I've kept in touch with my old colleagues and knew they were finding it hard to get new employees. Anyway, I was approached by them the other day and I offered to go back and help them out, got the go-ahead from HR today and the rest is history – starting on Thursday!

I'm sure it'll stress me out and will be a shock to the system after all this "freelancing" but the pay is a lot better this time so I can't complain really. I'll be keeping the freelancing up as much as possible as well, so my brain might melt :pp

At least I don't have a Mrs who tells me the world has ended! :pp Although… I won't be able to live on the forum during the day at work (feels weird saying "at work"!) :(

Good luck with the job Rob (ooh, a rhyme)

It can take a bit of time getting back into the 'employed' way of life after working on your own for a while.

Offer to do the hanky-panky. That should get him out of bed, right?

I'd have thought it might keep him in the bed, right?
