August 16, 201213 yr Thought I'd try and launch myself under a name instead of using my personal name. I think clients prefer that, time will tell. Anyway, here's the site. I know it's a bit simple and plain and there isn't much to it but I'm just hoping to let it grow as time goes on. It's more somewhere I can send people to rather than the be all and end all of my web development. Cheers!
August 16, 201213 yr I think, site is good, but that blue color is terrible. You should change it on something finer, or play with header and add here some images. And that menu is't good too. Play with it, it's your portfolio.
August 16, 201213 yr Really like the site, it's simple and really works, looks very professional. Breaks a bit in IE8 though, but the fixes will be easy with an IE8< stylesheet.
August 17, 201213 yr I love the blue. I think it's a super colour - and the simple bold menu. ...but then I like these hues of blue, 70's VW green, acid yellow and ORANGE (the kind of orange you have to shout)

Cheers, I'll have to test it. Thanks for the heads up! Looks really nice, reminds me of the older facebook Thanks, I can see what you mean.. I love the blue. I played with those kind of colours for the site, blue was the one that seemed to fit best

August 17, 201213 yr Something is bugging me about the charcoal grey bottom border of the blue header. I'd personally make the border have the same hue as the header color and perhaps mess with it's value a bit. I'm not exactly sure, but it's just my opinion. Nothing much to say. It's clean and simple. Congrats on the new website. Edited August 17, 201213 yr by Pete Prosper

Congrats on the new website. Thanks, it was a darker blue most of the time in the design, I can't remember why I made it black. I agree, blue's better!

August 17, 201213 yr It's good but it could be better. I'd tone that blue down, it says corporate organisation to me something that bold and simple. Have a play with some borders and text shadows to add breaks and depth to it.

August 18, 201213 yr I think it looks good, don't worry about making it over complicated, users/clients don't like to hurt their eyes. Look at sites we use everyday, for example Google. How simple is Google? That is always my thoughts when it comes to web design though. It's ok making really fancy Jquery, Ajax and Flash objects but sometimes they can mess your eyes up and your SEO.

I had simplicity in mind, thanks!
