Howdy!

I was hired by a company called Verreglas to rebuild the website in hopes of ranking better in search engines. The new site is up and ready, both in French and English.

Design-wise, what are your thoughts? I used the copy that was already there but reworked some parts. I'd like something better on the homepage. "and everything else" does not mean much to me. Any ideas?

well for sure the newer version is better.. there is TEXT not images and css well for sure there is a progress

 

the Verreglass on marmur looks pretty nice but the buttons on bottom with bevell I dont like them :/ maybe without bevell only icons it might work better.. also the main content area is so.. poor and white

 

gallery is not working properly.. BUt when I took a look at this stuff.. it is so amazgin dude.. use some pieces of those photos and you will create OUTSTANDING WEBSITE

Yeh i was gonna say!

 

Tell them in order to get higher search engine rankings to include text as a main part of the website, if not there back to square one.

The layout is a lot better on the new site.

 

- You new menu looks nice and clean, those buttons with the bevel effect kinda ruin it though. Try something without bevel, it makes a website look really old.

- I don't know if your fixed to a certain color scheme but this one looks kinda pale, Maybe you can up the contrast / saturation a bit.

gallery is not working properly

I couldn't upload anything... first I thought the server was busy but it turned out that I was out of space. Out of space, in 2008? I'm used to having GBs of extra space! I sadly (right!) had to delete the 12mb song that was on the main page of the old version. The images are now working.

There will be two pages with copy. Something to make Wizely shiver! I will to at leasts get a description of his services on the homepage.

If he could have kept the old website, he would have done it. He wanted the buttons and the hover images to be same but I had to recreate them from scratch. I would never have used bevel otherwise, I promise! As I said, I'm given little freedom.
