July 31, 201214 yr Hey there. I recently developed this site - SoftSandwich Its only 3 days old. So the content isn't that much, and as a whole its basically 'raw'. Aim is to have cool tricks and tutorials, along with an interesting and entertaining blog. Also a link to products we deliver. Currently only linking to the other websites we own, soon will also provide free softwares that we've developed. I'm working on it day and night and trying to improve on it as much as I can. Any sort of help will be really appreciated. Let me know what you think of it, and if you have any ideas or suggestions of any sort.
August 1, 201214 yr What i'm going to say may be a little harsh, but your logo gives me the impression that this website is about a sandwhich store. That's what i originally thought when i saw the link on your post. I didnt read your entire post, but as far as branding goes i think you got it completely wrong. In regards to the design, it's clean but maybe a little too clean. I'm not a big fan of little boxes with content. I think you need to get rid of that and come up with a full page design, especially if you are going to run a blog. To sum it all up the user friendliness is not there, navigation is not there. It's a start but you have a lot of work.

I was thinking about changing the design a bit more.. lets see.
August 4, 201214 yr Hi there, I feel the same, the sandwich is a little off the content of the site. Perhaps you could move the words "soft sandwich" higher or lower than the actual sandwich. Instead of regular filling, you could put in the logos fot HTML5, CSS3, PHP, PS, FW, Google, Microsoft. etc etc. If you are going to be listing tutorials and free software, perhaps your site is meant to be softening the aspect of learning about computers software and the internet. At this time, with only half a coffee...and that logo...best I can do I'm afraid.
August 4, 201214 yr The sites pretty awful in my opinion! For a start it's kind of table based which is basically a huge no no nowadays. Why is the site to the left of the page? It should be centered surely? Also the content area needs to be a lot wider. The adverts also add to the overall messy look. However if this is your first site and you have only just started learning it's not a bad effort. I do think you need to start from scratch, buy a css book and learn how to layout a webpage more gracefully.
August 6, 201214 yr Sorry, i'm not a fan of the design, it's way to small, way to boxy, way to 90's and the advert is just stuck in there with no thought given to it's placement.
