Starting Again

Hey guys, recently was new and came on here to showcase my blog. Had some critism and found out that I had been wasting my time. So now i have taken your advice and started to make a blog on my own journey of becoming a web designer. I have not done alot at the moment. But i would like to know if i am on the right lines with my contents. My blog is currently made with blogger but because i am not confortable with using wordpress or anything else just yet its just an insight to see if i am on the right lines. Any comments would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks

It's a good idea and it will help you focus on the path you're following.

The best thing to do though is to get stuck in, create a proper blog not the blogger rubbish and then blog about your journey with that.

"For business cards I have found a very renowned website called VistaPrint."

Renowned for being ****e?

Amen! Stay away from VP, they are renowned for being... well a bunch of ****e.

*waits for the normal deluge of new one post wonders proclaiming how brilliant Vista Print are in a suspiciously broken English way.

thanks for the comments, and really I had no idea they were poor, I have not ordered anything just yet, could you recommend a few websites to help me out?

For printing find a local business, pop in, explain what you do, ask for a discount.

Not that blunt, obviously, but you get the idea.

Vista aren't actually that cheap when you opt for the correct size and weight of card with next day delivery, then you might as well have done the above whilst supporting local business and getting a personal service.

Exactly this. I used to use moo.com and as good as the stuff was, it's great to use a local printer who you can physically meet and discuss things with. Also, it works out cheaper as they trust on continuing business etc
