I'd also like to ask you if the code in the site is correct and "standard" or "messy". Personally, I think it looks too simple, however this could be just because I've looked at it too long. Link to my portfolio site. Secondly, what do you all think of this pure css gallery? Please be aware not all images are filled in, it's just for the concept, also use the numbers to navigate; I do plan to replace this navigation with thumbnails of the relevant larger image. Feel free to tell me what's good about these, however what's bad and could be improved is the juicy valuable information =D -Benjamin Sterling.
May 30, 201214 yr Hey Ben, Your portfolio site is a well thought out and well executed minimal site, I would say that the size of the body text is too small but for some reason it works for me.
May 30, 201214 yr Author Hey 4colourprogress, Thank you for the feedback, I will try to increase the font size and decide whether it makes too much of an impact on the overall look of the design. I'm wondering whether the font looks too small simply because of the contrasting large images?....
May 30, 201214 yr I don't think it's the large images make much of a difference 12px is just quite small for body text I think the norm used to be 16px but it varies quite a lot now.
May 30, 201214 yr Design is suitable to the subject. I like it. Grey background is good solution. It lets us to concentrate at your works. As for code W3C validator found 5 errors. Good luck!
May 30, 201214 yr Author Ohh, I thought the standard was 12px, my bad. However, I've decided to keep the font size at 12 px; It just feels right. Ahh! I never thought us using a validator =D I'll have a look at that and fix the errors Thank you!
