New Site

Featured Replies

So seems I've posted a bit on here recently I thought id share my new folio site (being built) this is just a screen of it.

The actual map will work so I can update my location things left to do is design a fake app screen for that iphone, something I hope to finish today :)

Come 6pm The map turns off and a still loads

A Panda sitting on a sofa drinking beer / pepsi

9pm The Panda goes to sleep

1am The panda gets some loving...

1:05am ;) The panda goes back to sleep

6am Panda showering

630am The map turns back on again

Its going to be a simple full screen site, big in your face portfolio and then the entire site content will be handled by my blog so rather than a static bit of content I'll just write about design services all the time rather than ass around with trying to come up with content for it.

Its a large image so here you go new design

I am aware the whole holding a phone thing has been done before but thats mainly showing off an app this is something a little bit different ;)

Well it has something that all great designs need .... Pepsi :)

While it is quite a simple design the quirkiness of it is brilliant.

Two things that I don't think work that well:

The colour on the menu at the bottom, there isn't enough contrast between the colour text and the background. It might be the same for the text under panda doodle too but with that being bigger and bolder it is easier to see than the menu text is.

The gradients on the two buttons don't really fit the style of the rest of the site, the colours are fine but the gradient itself is a little harsher than everything else on the screen.

Funny enough I've removed the buttons and trying something else, I didnt like them :)

There will be a fiar bit going on under the hood of the design to make up for how simple it is, I was going to add some extra images and details but its taken away from what I have now. A small navigation is something I'm struggling with but I hope to get that finished today along with fixing the bits you mentioned above.
