Hey all,

http://www.webdale.co.uk

I've spent a year on and off with this new concept for my portfolio. It's finally finished and live, and as it's my first proper code (using wordpress) I'd be eternally grateful for any tips or issues you spot within the code, or any feedback & constructive criticism you might have. Design is my main discipline though I like to back them up with a bit of code knowledge and animation.

I posted my older flash portfolio a few years ago, and got some great feedback. Regrettably I rewarded it with 3 years of inactivity, but I wish to amend that by being more active in sharing on the web via the forum and my own Blog (tutorials, tips etc).

Hope to meet a lot of you in the next few months :)

I am seriously impressed, I love it. It's too hard to be really critical on this website, so I'm going be annoyingly nit-picky.

  • Load times are a little slow
  • I feel a little unnerved at being able to spin you round and look at you from behind
  • I don't like when people put the levels of their skills in a bar. If you're learning something, cool, say you're learning it. But don't give the impression you suck at it by putting a tiny "ability bar" for that skill set.
  • Give it a once over for SPAG, as I noticed a couple of things

Amazing design and excellent website though, proper impressed with this work.

Good luck for the future, though I highly doubt you'll need it.

Thanks guys, appreciate the kind words and the feedback :)

Yes I commissioned Dan to do the artwork (as I can't draw!) then I animated it. everything else I made from scratch :tv (2):
