ive been doing small web projects for people over the past couple of years and have decided to launch my own site and actually start advertising for work.

 

I plan to resell website design, hosting, logo design, the usual stuff.

 

the questions i would be gratefult if someone could answer are:

 

1) do i need to protect myself with any legal documents on my site? terms of service, privacy policy etc ?

2) i am not having any transactions go through the site, will i need a SSL cert, is it worth having one just for customer confidence, or even as a working example for reselling ?

3) ive had a look at some ssl cert reseller sites but havent been able to choose one as yet. can anyone recomend one?

Hi Daver,

 

1) Not on your site. Make sure you have got a full set of legal documents for your business though that go out for signing by every client for every job no matter how small.

2) Nope. Unless you are doing a number of transactions directly through your site.

3) No need.
