Ok after seeing Rob's design in WordPress it give me the motivation to get on with my own.

I am really looking for feedback on the following:

 

Backgrounds

Logo

Hover effect on links

Video on Cars page - (Would you click the ads around it while watching a video?)

Loading time - (How long? what browser?).

 

But all other comments are very welcome.

Hover effect on links - simple but good

 

Video - poor quality, plays ok but there's too few FPS, not the right amount of keyframes, maybe poor surce material? See these links for how to encode better

Name of site Cruisers Gallery !!! I'd reconsider that you might get the wrong type of visitor to the site...

Was joking re. the other meaning (amongst many) of cruisers. Nay worries.

 

Don't worry too much about search engines a) as you say word of mouth and sales / hits are really meaningless in the greater scheme of things i.e. there's more to life than money e.g. enjoying creating a website and providing a resource people enjoy. I'll sure I'll get flamed for that!!!

 

 

ps your new site is good, clean and simple stick with it...i've had two queries about sites recently both referencing how they feel much web design is overblown and they want an a) clean and simple but communicative site...

The one thing that I would mention is:- please, please make sure that you're using the correct grammar before the site goes live (i.e. the difference between there, their and they're, your and you're etc).....it's one of my pet hates.

 

I'd hate to see a really nice site ruined by poor grammar.
