Hi everyone, I have this boring logo here atm: Current logo ... I was told that the green was far too bright so I changed it to this: New logo

 

Although this looks better than the first one, I still think it is too plain and could do with a bit more creativity.

 

Here what I sell in my eBay shop: the logo and colours are still for the old one but this is just to give you's an idea of what I sell: My eBay shop

 

I mostly sell wood-related products that are cut on a CNC machine. I also innovate them by putting mirror etc on the front. The letterboxes and door knockers that are in the shop is just stock we have and want to sell.

 

Any suggestions would be great.

Reminds me of Asda price, and maybe not surprising looks a little cheap.

It doesn't add anything or reflect the values of your company.

 

You web rookie avatar looks a lot better I'd think about using that texture for your logo, but first off you could do with a concept. The simplest thing to do is make the words look like they are made out of wood.

I could add all them special effects and will, but at the moment, i'm just looking for the basic concept of the logo. I will need a black and white logo design aswell because I will be printing the logo in B&W a lot etc.

 

I see what you mean by it looking like the cheap Asda thing, maybe a change of font to something less basic?

I would say there is not much difference from your old and new logo except a slight colour change.

 

Maybe you should brainstorm some more ideas and sketches.

Yeah it's important the logo works in Black and White, but wood can still look like wood in black and white. And I wouldn't go OTT on the effects, but i'd think of introducing another element to go with the text, maybe a tree to represent the wood.
