Creating Textured Background in Ps

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Wasn't sure where to post this so I'll drop it in here and hope for the best! The image attached is the background image to a site I'm working on. It struck me that I've got a lovely texture (added noise; god bless you) but it's not a repeated pattern.

Can someone advise me on how to create that textured effect that can be deployed as the background image on a site?

I know it's a bit 'novice' but I've never been asked to use a texture on the whole page BG before. Appreciate the help.

You can grab a square section of noise and it will pretty much be tileable if there are no gradients or stuff. Noise is just 1px dots, so there is no worries about them not meshing up when you tile.

Told you it was totally 'novice'. Thankyou, porkchops!
