October 27, 201114 yr We've just moved into a new office and we're having an acrylic sign made like this one: http://www.buysigns.co.uk/new_gallery/Acrylic/acrylic_sign_12.jpg However, we're a bit stuck with the design so wondered if you guys could give some advice. This is what we've got so far:
November 1, 201114 yr It's a bit too minimal for my liking, could do with a splash of colour. Even if it's just dropping some of the blacks down to dark greys. Also the spacing is a bit cramped. Maybe drop the phone number and URL down away from the logo? I'm not sure about the font for the phone number either - the 7, 5 and 4 look like they've been stretched in comparison to the other numbers. Edited November 1, 201114 yr by Spitfire
November 1, 201114 yr For those type of signs I would suggest minimal is better? Look at the example link. If anything I would say there is too much going on in yours and it could be arranged more neatly. Can anything be eliminated since it is an interior sign? Also on the logo, the way the words 'content management' spill over to the blue icon makes it look uneven. Edited November 1, 201114 yr by oakleaves

I like the idea of the grey phone number and URL. For those type of signs I would suggest minimal is better? Look at the example link. Also on the logo, the way the words 'content management' spill over to the blue icon makes it look uneven. I'm not really sure what you mean about the logo. If you can suggest anything to make the logo look better, please do Have updated with different font colour, more spacing and have made the font smaller too.
November 1, 201114 yr Author Have 'content management' not spill over to the side of the blue icon? There's not really anywhere else it can go.
November 1, 201114 yr I'm not trying to be deliberately awkward but I make signs for a living and that layout looks misaligned and wrong due to the factors I've mentioned. Also the grey will not work on an acrylic sign - stick to black. Your signmaker will not be too pleased about the small contact details at the bottom either, one they are a pig to make, and two being that small won't work on a small interior sign very well. Just having a play around to see what would work from a signmakers perspective. Give me a second.
November 1, 201114 yr Hi City, I have attached a layout that would be more practical (imo) of course it's up to you. I didn't have the right font though. I think a similar layout would be more professional looking and work better in the real world. Also, I'd still be tempted to ditch the contacts unless they are crucial but that's obviously your call.
