Wordpress Network, broken plugins

Featured Replies

I implemented Wordpress Network but my Wordpress experience since has been in rapid, rapid decline. It's broken almost all of my plugins.

Most critical, is WP Syntax. I cannot get it to work at all. In existing posts it's fine, but you can't make it work in new posts. The button to add code is no longer on the editor, and just copying tags doesn't work because WP still strips the code.

Ideas? Massively disappointed by network. Could not advise against it more strongly.

Not all plugins work with MU unfortunately. You may be able to get round a few compatibility issues by installing via FTP instead of via the admin menu. Don't ask me why, worked for me though.

I did, another thing Network did is stop me managing plugins for sites individually.

Ah, this sucks :(

You'll have to forgive me because it's been a while since i last worked on an MU install (and even then it was part of a team) however even then you could choose which plugins to use on which sites.

You have to methods of installing plugins, regular and MU versions. I think 'Regular' were the ones that could be managed on a per-site basis where as MU where activated network wide by default.

Sorry i can't help more than that.
