Liquid-Drive Logos: v2

Featured Replies

So a while ago now, I posted a topic regarding the branding of Liquid-Drive but since then I've been busy and haven't really had a chance to actually crack on with it. So yesterday evening, I managed to get a few ideas together and one of them has really stuck on me.

So here is what I began with:

Obviously the previous one was completely, boring in my opinion so I thought I'd incorporate the word Liquid into it, so I had an idea first of water/liquid pouring into the circle but it didn't work out too well so I chose to create a leak effect instead.

After some feedback on Forrst, it was clear that the drips on the previous concept was that if the logo was scaled down... it wouldn't show up so I bulked out the drips and levelled out of the liquid inside of the circle and added some bubbles to "elevate" the idea of it being liquid but someone mentioned that it also wouldn't show up too well if it was to be scaled down. Therefore, I'm wondering whether to remove them completely or enlarge and add a few more bubbles.

What does everyone think?

Thanks, Joe :)

no, on all 3. At a quick look I see washing machine doors with water sloshing around or leaking out

I didn't get the same association until I read it, but I can understand where zed is coming from. If you don't want to get that association, you want to get rid of the circle shape.

It's a bit far removed from your original idea in your previous thread.

I think you should listen to zed, it doesn't say liquid drive to me either. What was the thought process behind the concept?

EDIT - you've already explained the thought process, my mistake. Still doesn't quite work though.

I would go with the first one, if you could make it less 'YingYang-y' and make it more obvious it's water. Without spilling it over the edge like the others. Make it blue? Then put a pair of knuckles and some fingers coming over the wheel. Might work, then again, might look terrible.
