Im looking for a 5-6 page website with a gallery to show pics,a home page,contact page etc...and am just trying to get an idea of cost..Some questions i have are, How much does it cost lol How far i would appear up the rankings, Does facebook page be included in the price, Would I appear on search engines just based in the uk or would i appear on Google.Italy for example, Thanks People....Just new to this and havnt a clue lol, Max.

Does facebook page be included in the price, *It would depend on the developer but personally no, that would be extra. Would I appear on search engines just based in the uk or would i appear on Google.Italy for example, *Would be all if Google thinks it's relevant. But as seeing as you have at least given us some clue as to what you need - then I would say no more than £600 + facebook page? Total cost of the facebook page is not clear to me as I have never done one. But I am sure it isn't hard? As for search engine optimization - well any web designer worth their salt would include that in the price as it's just about how you build the pages and how much keywords are used. It's not rocket science and anyone claiming to be an SEO specialist is a con artist. But depending your niche, it could take months for your site to go up the search results and there is no secret formula! Hope that helps? Edited August 26, 201114 yr by neilp

Roughly the site you want would cost you £400-600 depending on the designer and if you want your site to be CMS based so you can update the content yourself. That will most likely exclude any SEO apart from some basics maybe. This will also not include the logo if you require one. Prises for logos are usually from £150 to infinity depending on what exaclty you're after (ie logo, full branding, stationery etc) Of course you will find that some people will offer you a website for £100 and a logo for £5. It may be tempting but remember that you always get what you pay for. In the end of the day the choice is yours - you can spend just over a hundred pounds and get a crap site with a ****ty logo or you can hire a professional to do a proper job for you. There is no way Yell would work with you like a web agency or freelancer would - that's for sure. If you wanted something be-spoke, unique, then you need a professional who will treat you like a client rather than 'just another customer'? If your serious about your project and want a serious quote, then just PM me with all your details and I will give you a realistic price. I've got to say i agree with what the others have said above. There's no reason to pay over the odds for a decent site but again there is no point paying under the odds because you will end up with what you pay for! The best bet would be to stick a post in the 'Looking to hire' section of this site here and read the guidelines here before you post. You can always check if the people you're interested in hiring are trustworthy by checking out their posts on this forum, their rep level or simply just by PMing myself or one of the other mods and we'll be the first to tell you if they're good or if they are rubbish and only visit this site to leech in the jobs board
