August 11, 201115 yr If you are a feeling a bit adventurous you can probably use Photoshop tutorials to learn the basics of visual design with regards to the web. You'll just have to do some google searches to figure out how to use the Gimp tools to replicate photoshop ones. I still think it would be wise to learn on a student or trial version of Photoshop. There are SO many resources out there geared towards PS users that it's recommended. And besides, one website and you've paid a full license off. Very easy investment in my book.
