Been working on this design for the past couple of weeks and would like to see what you guys thought of it. I'm not too sure if I want to use this design for my portfolio site and would really appreciate the feedback.

It's not bad at all really. The footer items don't align well with the rest of the site and it looses balance.

I don't like brown :| Over all design is aightttt... Im on the fence on this one at the moment.

I think you should maybe consider using a photo of yourself that was taken more than three centimetres away from your right nostril...

Thanks, I thought the colours work really well, thats why I chose them.

I do agree I need to find a better picture. It's the only one I had whilst I was making it.

Style and visual attention to detail is great. I'm not sure why the site needs to be so wide, but the main thing I think you need to address before you do anything else is the name.

 

The MS effect sounds like a health site. Most people know the acronym MS as multiple sclerosis which is a terrible and debilitating illness (I expect you know this)

 

If I'm honest, the grunge thing is a bit too trendy. Despite the fact that you've done it well, I can't help feeling that it overpowers the message of your site. Instead of letting your content do the talking, the design is grabbing all the attention. Other designers will probably say it's great, but customers might not find it so appealing.

I think that would be bright, colorful presentation of the projects you have done.
