Need a couple of opinions on this please; I'm thinking on making a website and selling graphics, banners, footers and design sales. Do you think I could do this without using HTML, XHTML and CSS? Or would it put a bad look on the 'company'?

In my opinion..

If you want to make a very effective site with regular updating of contents than i will prefer a good content management system as only html css will be difficult to manage and update .. there are lot technologies available..
