This is useful. I had some corrupt .jpg files on my PC that you could see the thumbnail for but when you opened up the thing it was corrupt. I tried all the recovery programs and none would touch it.

 

Taking another angle, the thumbnails were intact..hurrah..so I found this http://www.impulseadventure.com/photo/jpeg-snoop-uses.html

 

Worked a treat. At least I now have something from the corrupt file :)
