I am using adobe ilustrator. I want to modify the text in a textbox but when I double clic on the text box, the text box does not get its text editable. How can I edit this text?

This is very strange. I just closed adobe ilustrator and opened it again and now I can edit the text. I do not know what could happen. I will let you know if it happens again.
