Design a website

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a friend who needs a website to show her house in Madeira to rent for holidays. She wants to give some viability of her house on the web and asked me if I could do it.

I haven basic knowledhe about webdesign. Should I try something basic or aething more complex?

How much should I charge for it?

You have to go with what you're comfortable with, if you want to push yourself to learn more then go for the more complicated route.

As for how much to charge, this is a personal decision and no one here can give you a 'corect' answer. For example, A lot of the designers/developers here have been learning and honing their skills for many years so they would charge far more than someone just out of university but you would get much better quality (well, in most cases).

Basically you need to figure out what you would want to charge.

Charge what you feel you and your design skills are worth. Is this your first website?

Personally, if this is your first I would start off with something simple for now. Get to understand how HTML/XHTML and CSS works then build on it from there.

The great thing about designing websites is that they are never 'finished', you can always add/update and try out new skills whenever you wish........just back it up first lol :D

Hi

I'm graphic desiner but not expert in webdesign and I understand a bit of html and css as I've been trying some webdesigns although not feeling confortable to say I can do it! If I follow the right way of learning I think I could get there.
