Using Some Google Buttons

Featured Replies

I spent hours trying to implement some buy buttons that I created with my Google account and for some reason the image of the button would not show up. I did everything I could to get this to work and then winded up changing the code around and hosting the image button on my personal image host. This was such a hassle to me and I could not find any timely customer service and when I did get customer service the answer was wrong. I was told that the code must have been altered when I used it. This was not the case. I tested this in my html editor and it showed up great. But when I pasted it on my site it was not working.

I ditched all of my efforts and winded up using paypal buttons.

What's your opinion of the Google buttons, are you having any problems making them work?

I am really afraid I don't know what you are talking about. What do you mean google "buy" buttons? This is pretty new for me. Could you give us a link to this Google service?

I also have no idea. Were you trying to use button graphics that you created yourself with the PayPal system?

I believe he's talking about the google checkout system. Is a "competition" to paypal. Apparently not much competition, yet...

Hi, I am sorry for being so presumptuous that everyone knows what Google buttons are.

But to clarify just a little, yes, they are similar to paypal.

Here is a snapshot of the Google button set up page. :unsure:gobuttonbe4.jpg

do google offer a payment process like paypal then? Is it any good?

I have heard is good, and promises to be better than paypal, but not very well known yet, as it is too new. It is designed for shopping more than for services though (as far as I understand it)
