January 24, 201115 yr proof read. for example "50% of today's railroal frieght passes through Chicago" the image display is rather clunky and may benefit from a fade in/out. Some padding of the comments would help as well. I take it you've not tested in IE?
January 25, 201115 yr there are some white gaps in firefox too centred text is not comfortable to read, it needs more line-height and splitting up into smaller chunks images with text need more padding around the text centre the whole site so it's not clinging to the left hand side underlined text that isn't a link? tut tut favicon laid out in tables (should be used only for layout and have been for the last umpteen years - what are they teaching you?!) pixels for font sizes don't resize in IE, use ems or % and move all your css to external stylesheet alt attributes why not use the same font from "catching the wind" for the navigation too? no real headings: h1, h2 , h3 ... use consistent text sizing from page to page (e.g. front page has huge text) all in all it has the base of a good looking site but it's let down by many technical basics, poor typography, inattention to detail (padding, line-height, spelling) that's what i would say for a professional site - though i realise that this may be too harsh for the level your studying at (not sure what that is!) so don't be too disheartened Edited January 25, 201115 yr by dap
January 25, 201115 yr Author Are you referring to the "Catching Wind In Chicago" being different than the buttons? Haha, the banner is just different due to an outline using the Blending Options in photoshop. But we do have a HUGE question. Once we published the site online you might see mysterious white boxes and such that pop up. And a random array of white lines. As you all saw And it has really stumped us. We checked for errors. Had others check for errors and it's all fine in the code. But something is making it clash with our browsers. Any suggestions? Thanks so much btw. My partner and I actually go to school for Design. We are in highschool and attend Interactive Media Design. And our website is themed based for a competition. Anything is EXTREMELY aprreciated! Thanks again!
