Google thinks I'm not in the UK

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Bit of a strange one this...... Basically, when I first published my website I was living in Italy. I'm now living in the UK but, if I search for my site in Google with a check in the Pages From The UK radio button, my site doesn't appear in the listings. If I leave the radio button of The Web check then my site appears. It seems that Google thinks my site is not UK based although my site is only in English and my Host is UK based.

Anyone know how I get Google to change its mind as to my whereabouts?

Kind Regards

Rob

Thanks guys. I have told Google that the site is aimed at the UK (via Webmaster tools) though it looks like this may take a few days to come into effect.

I'm also considering swapping my site from .com to .co.uk (I own both) although I'm a bit concerned about the possibility of going back in the "sandbox" for another three months if I do this. Think I'll wait for a few days to see if the chnage above makes any difference.
