December 20, 201015 yr Hi, I am currently using Joomla to develop a site for a friend who wants to upload his own music for visitors to be able to hear. Now, I know you can upload mp3 files via ftp but I want him to have the ability to use the inbuilt media manager for ease & for some reason it won't let me upload mp3 files. Has anybody else had this problem before?
January 8, 201115 yr Go into the sites "global config" and go to the server settings...make sure mp3 is listed under the "media settings" as a legal file extension to be used on your site. As standard mp3 is not generally listed there. Edited January 8, 201115 yr by Andy Smiff
January 8, 201115 yr What editor do you use?Consider jce editor and the plugins for it (media manager, file manager) it will make your life easy.
