December 16, 201015 yr Ok so insted of just going ahead and doing it an no one uses/enjoy the work i did, I decided to post a poll first and if it gets enough votes saying people would like to see this done then i will do it. Basically what im offering is to teach people how to build a basic forum system i will post each part of the forum into sections, for example once i do the register system i will post that part, then once the login is finished i will post that part ect.. and with in a month we should have a decent forum system people may learn from. So feel free to vote away
December 16, 201015 yr I'm all for it and I think everyone else should feel the same. Even the more seasoned guys will certainly evoke good discussion and points during it. Why not?
December 17, 201015 yr Would be very helpful, although you would need to explain things step by step, very clearly
December 17, 201015 yr That too,but there are allready tuts explaining step by step on how to build a forum..it would be better if you could make a video tut. Will you use a framework?
December 17, 201015 yr Author Ok thanks guys for the replies i think 5 votes speaks for itself so i will deff do it should have the first part posted in this topic ether tommorow or tonight. Now as for using a framework i will not due to beginners may also be learning from the forum. However you may feel free to build off the code and post ur own versions on here Some of the things i will cover doing the forum is included below. 1.Adding categories/Subcategories 2.Basic user registration/login 3.Simple admin area 4.Basic Mod tools 5.Basic search that will cover FULLTEXT searching 6.Adding topics 7.Adding replies Edited December 17, 201015 yr by webdesigner93
December 17, 201015 yr I'm all for your tutorials, but not another forum software! That particular wheel has been re-invented too many times. Something new - a unique web application perhaps? Edited December 17, 201015 yr by andyl

Lol i deff agree however i do know alot of beginners ask how to build simple forum's so that pretty much is why i chose a forum, mostly to learn from and build on not to use in a commercial site as is.
