December 12, 201015 yr Just thought I'd share a coupon code I figured out. www.justhost.com use coupon code "50OFF" when you go to buy your domain name and you get a free domain name, unmetered cpanel hosting for 2 years for about $70. Obviously with it being ranked the number 1 host by many review sites, theres no question about it's quality. I have my portfolio hosted on justhost and everything is going quite well, and consequently I will be using them for future clients. Anyway just thought I'd share that with you guys incase you were planning on hosting with justhost. All the best!
December 12, 201015 yr Hey Joel So how exactly did you "Figure out" this code? And where exactly are they rated #1 exactly, because the only places they rank #1 on the web, are all those sponsored review websites where they paid for the listings. So, why exactly would people want to go with such a new hosting company who buys their own reviews rather than earns them? Why would UK businesses want to host with yet another oversold US host? Why exactly is your link a tracking link instead of a normal link? A genuine happy customer wouldnt be using a tracking link like yours of "http://stats.justhost.com/track?c7ddcf8b1cdbbe9ff90c675b169e1d6c8" unless there was something in it for them? So, whats the deal? How much are they paying you to say this stuff? They must be paying you with something because proper reviews we have found of justhost are really bad...
December 13, 201015 yr I dislike just host, honestly, I think they're still charging me for an account I request was shut down! :\
December 13, 201015 yr Author Hey Joel So how exactly did you "Figure out" this code? So, why exactly would people want to go with such a new hosting company who buys their own reviews rather than earns them? Why would UK businesses want to host with yet another oversold US host? So, whats the deal? How much are they paying you to say this stuff? They must be paying you with something because proper reviews we have found of justhost are really bad... Well actually I figured out the code, when I was in the process of buying their hosting. It was kinda expensive so I went to leave the page and a 50% coupon came up.. whereas if you go to leave the page on any other page of the site a 20% coupon comes up. So I just thought I'd mention that incase anyone thought they were getting a good deal with only 20%. Maybe, you're right about the sponsor review websites, I really have no idea. But to be honest any company that continually makes it in the top 5 review, can't be too bad. http://www.thetop10bestwebhosting.com/au http://b2evolution.net/web-hosting/top-quality-best-webhosting.php http://www.top10webhosting.com/ http://www.webhostingchoice.com/ I'm not saying that this is directed towards UK businesses, as I'm aware there are people (like me) from other parts of the world. Yes it is an affiliate link. Just Host affiliate payments are much smaller then a majority of hosts out there so it's not like it's just money that's persauding me to choose justhost. Infact you can save even more money if you create your on affiliate account and sign up under your own link. I mean sure it'd be nice for people to use mine, but I really am just telling you about them. So essentially if you use the 50% discount + create you own affiliate account you could probably be paying something around $20 for two years unmetered hosting + domain (and yes wesh that means I don't get any money, for your information). So in conclusion I am not being 'payed' to say stuff unless it leads to convesions, and my last tip essentially means I'll get nothing, which I don't really care about cause my soul purpose in making this forum entry was to let everyone know about the discount and secondly maybe get a few $ of money on the side. So if you follow this post you can save probably close to $100 and pay probably a little less then $20 for 2 years. And I make no money with this suggestion.
December 14, 201015 yr Maybe, you're right about the sponsor review websites, I really have no idea. But to be honest any company that continually makes it in the top 5 review, can't be too bad. http://www.thetop10b...bhosting.com/au http://b2evolution.n...-webhosting.php http://www.top10webhosting.com/ http://www.webhostingchoice.com/ All of those websites are sponsored ones, so you cant say "Any host who makes it into the top 5 cant be bad, because the top 5, are actually amoung the worst in the business, and are only there because they pay to be there. Those so called "reviews" arnt actual reviews, I know because we have been offered those adverts time and time again.. "Dear WESH UK" Get a top 10 slot and guaranteed reviews to boost your business this month!" When we made further enquiries, to find out what the others are paying, its basically either fixed fee + PPC, or just seriously expensive PPC, and they will sort out the reviews for you, so you look like a star. Thats one of the reasons why we wont touch those websites with a bloody bargepole, there all fakes, and all created to suck blood from hosts who actually need propping up. Why do you think 1&1 have huge double page spreads EVERY month, in EVERY computer magazine? If they were great, they would grow without it.. Thats why we use ratepoint, to try to establish that the reviews we get, are not paid for, sponsored, self written, and are monitored by an independant 3rd party, and more importantly, they are earned through work, not cash... ok, so you might just land a $20 deal with justhost, but what exactly do you think your going to get for your $20? $20 for something that doesnt work as sold, is still $20 wasted, and by sticking your affiliate link into the advert, it totally destroyed anything credible that had been written, because that then just says your trying to earn some commission. Luke, I'm not trying to bash you buddy, but please, read the REAL reviews of just host, not the ones they bought, and try not to push US hosting on a UK community, its not good for anybodies UK targeted business to host in the US at all...
