November 8, 201015 yr Hi guys, this is my first post so if I am breaking any rules please bear with me I am making a Dubstep orientated site; I need some advice/review/suggestions on: the colour, design and layout. Thanks in advance(see attached).
November 9, 201015 yr 82 views and no feedback? Hi, Looks OK. A bit plain and too much brown colours Try and give it more colour and perhaps some DJ photos or whatever? Get your imagination bro Edit: Even if you had a nice gradient for the background it might pull it out a bit more. Also the logo just seems to get lost, it's too similar to the rest... Just my 2p

Just my 2p What other colors would you say to use other than brown that: go with the background color and logo. The text is based of logo - that may be why it gets "lost" - for now I will keep this the same as I like the current logo. I have added a slight background gradient.
November 9, 201015 yr Author probably cos there is nothing to comment about. no is very little design there. ya seem to be holding the ropes fairly close. ya should let loose and introduce some imagery, colours etc. Again what colors would you suggest? I mix a few and for me they just don't seem right. When I said Dubstep orientated site I meant it will be a Dubstep music sharing site so is basically going to comprise of: search results, player and uploader - I want this to be simple, clean and relaxing. Thanks.
November 9, 201015 yr It doesn't look urban enough for dubstep. Not only that it doesn't look 'music' enough. I'd check out some record label websites for music website influence. Ministry of Sound usally always have good ones.
November 9, 201015 yr I have added a slight background gradient. Looks a bit better mate... maybe have the content in the lighter brown and start a darker brown from the top? Only trying to help Also, what's wrong with some DJ images? You must have some?

Ministry of Sound usally always have good ones. Urban enough for Dubstep? The Dubstep I listen to is relaxing, smooth and mellow; Back in 2002 the cases for Dubstep mixes most I saw where dark brown background with grey text. I want to reflect this within my website. I'm hoping when I add content it will look more 'music' i.e album art in search results and most viewed etc on homepage. Looks a bit better mate... maybe have the content in the lighter brown and start a darker brown from the top? Only trying to help Also, what's wrong with some DJ images? You must have some? Thanks for the help - where abouts would you suggest I add DJ images to the website? Remember on track pages their will be track art work and artist images. Changed the colors around a bit. Thanks @ All.
November 9, 201015 yr where abouts would you suggest I add DJ images to the website? That would be doing the design for you. Open your mind I'd widen the design, at the moment it looks like a contact form with some text at the top.
