October 3, 201015 yr I was required to make a website for my ICT A-level coursework. We had to think products to sell on the site I choose graphic products etc... The site does not actually sell the products but alternative links to the actually site are provided. An order form is on the site as this was a requirement by the exam bored, filling and sending for the product will not get you anywhere as the site is for educational use only. Please leave positive and negative feedback, I'm mainly looking for feedback on the usability and looks of the site. The link for the site is here The Site I must state again that the site does not sell any products neither is it possible to buy them off the site but alternative links are provided. October 3, 201015 yr feels quite cold: lots of grey, and cold purple and violet. more like a metalworks than anything maybe if it combined some orange-red flame style highlights (like the colours from the red giant products ad) then you could have a working colour scheme. as it is, it dooesn't. no favicon badly pixellated cog graphics in header logo looks to plain for a 'graphics and special effects' site a hit counter?! ... nav bar could have been in plain text with css rollovers - no reason to do it as graphics borders on - oh my god - apdivs and tables! didn't they teach you how to layout a site properly? - borders are too heavy and don't all line up. bottom navigation is a remixed version of the top one: some bits missing, some in a different order gradients on partners and social have visible banding (i.e. not smooth) no real headings. centred text when should be left aligned (hard to read that centred text) arial is the least inspired choice for a web font - at the very least use verdana ton of coding errors links hidden in the first paragraph: white text with no underline exactly the same as the other white body text other links not styled only default browser colour Products page: where you have Products ALl products Top Products even though all 3 look like section headings it turns out the middle one is a drop-down menu! no external css - it's a lot easier to move all your styles into one external stylesheet and saves on page display time too man, i don't know what to say. i realise we can't realistically epect an Adobe calibre site but there's nothing really there that shows you have learnt about web design, only maybe a very little about dreamweaver. Maybe waht i should say is that you haven't - from the looks of it - been taught very much about web design. if this reflects the standard of teaching on the a-level syllabus then i feel very sorry for you. i would give the site 4/10 for achievement.

I do agree on the gradient problem, this is because it's an actually image just been made in to a background image and was originally exported as a .gif image. In reaction to the drop down menu feature, I find that quite useful and if anything adds more accessibility to the site. October 5, 201015 yr Hey James, I too had to do a website which sold products! Here is my work:, I have since improved my coding , Btw not a bad first attempt mate! Site 1 Site 1 Also look into CSS coding! If you need any pointers though just ask, I am currently studying level 3 myself on year 2
