September 29, 201015 yr Okay , There are some holes in it , I'm still tweaking and it isn't live just yet. I am asking for your advice and any ideas you may have to round this project off. I would also be grateful if anyone spots a problem to let me know so I can fix it. I am not asking for a tear down of my design I'm pretty happy with it , But any small tweaks or ideas are more than welcome. Thanks Luke http://blog.motif.tv
September 29, 201015 yr Nice work What's the name of the font you used for the AskDanny site, if you don't mind saying?
September 29, 201015 yr Author Dude I don't remember the font it was installed on my old IBM thinkpad do you mean the font in the logo? On the contact form it's a font called "Titillium" or something like that. Try using a website called WHATTHEFONT to find out the other though. Thanks for the feedback on my site btw Looking for any suggestions or tweaks. If you spot any issues please do bring them to my attention Luke Nice work What's the name of the font you used for the AskDanny site, if you don't mind saying?
September 29, 201015 yr I meant the font in the logo, yup WhatTheFont seems to think it's something called TheNautiGal, which looks like a pretty close match...does it ring any bells? Everything seems to be working on your site from this end, good stuff.
September 29, 201015 yr Author I do believe that's the one, be warned though it only looks right with certain words, It worked for Askdanny but I haven't found anything to use it for since. Good luck
September 30, 201015 yr Two niggles: Very minor: because the logo is positioned with the image geometry rather than CSS, the "empty space" to the left of it is a clickable href. Less minor: Your nav bar (#navigation) appears to be wrapping, putting "Contact" on a new line. I'm seeing this in Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Broadly, the design is concise and stylish. What let the site down for me was that you've integrated Wordpress without crediting the developers, which isn't cool.
October 2, 201015 yr Author Hey thanks for the advice, Just so you know I will be adding a "powered by wordpress" link in the footer upon completion. Thanks Luke
October 8, 201015 yr Any reason for embedding the css on main page ? <style> #hpintro { background:url("images/portfoliohead.jpg") no-repeat scroll -10px 0 transparent; display:inline; float:left; height:231px; width:963px; } </style> - If your still using flash on your site consider ( swfobject ) otherwise your site wont validate. Overall good job , try using PNG rather than Jpgs as they use better compression , also cufon would work better for using slogans
October 15, 201015 yr Blog style. I suggest you don not put so many article links on the home page, because it looks not clear.
