Hello,

 

I have a website that I want targeted to the UK audience. It is a .net address and is currently hosted with an American web hosting company. I have chosen this particular US host because it specialises in the script I have installed.

 

My site appears on google when searching the whole web (standard search) but when I choose 'pages from the UK' it does not get listed....presumably because I am with a US host.

 

I thought I read a way of telling google that it is a UK site on a forum a while ago but cannot find it now.

 

Is it possible to get listed in google UK with a US host? there must be a way? Although I understand that the IP address is from the US.

 

Any idea's?

Login to Google webmaster tools, you can specify your desired target country there, though there's no guarantee that it will make any difference.

 

If you want to target the the UK it's always best to use a host with UK servers.

Luke to get listed on google.co.uk faster ..try to use UK web Hosting services for this domain. It will surely help you.

Its fine. I went to google sitemaster tools and told it that my site audience is the UK and now I appear in both lists.
