My first website, looking for a little feedback

My first ever website. I think there are a few areas that need tweaking, but I not really sure.

I'm not going to say anything yet, as I don't want to prejudice your opinions :)

I would say please be gentle, but I would prefer it if you were honest :)

You could do with filling that blank space, and maybe change the font to something sans-serif like arial - it will make it look a bit more modern. Right now the site looks rather dated. Maybe your opening line of what you do could be made larger, maybe into some form of banner...?

I totally agree, glad its not just me thinking that way. I knew the font was "wrong", but did not know how to make it "right". I will have a play with that.

Blank spaces I think I will fill with some logos for some of the qualifications I have. I'm just sorting out the appropriate use of logos at the moment.

I like it, but I would definitely have the text that is at the top placed at the bottom, also, I would rotate the circles anti-clockwise a little, just to make them easier to read and notice!

Also, being picky(sorry!) viewing the site in Chrome, your email address on the contact section on the home page, extends out of the box.

All in all good content, just needs a little reshuffling to minimise the blank space.

Super, loving all the feedback so far. I've been tweaking the site in the last few minutes with regards to fonts. Fonts have been changed throughout the site, apart from the menu. Email address should now be the right size for Chrome.

Will tweak the icons a little shorty.

I've still got the feeling that the site looks a little dated, but not really sure why.

Icons in header now tweaked and rotated, you were so right about that!! Thanks

Meant to mention that the text at the top is for SEO purposes, not sure if it would work so well at the bottom of the page. If it would work just as well, then I would be tempted to move it.

Looks much better with that font. It might be worth changing the menu font too?

Regarding SEO - you need some meta information in your head section. You could add the different areas that you operate in there if you wanted. It doesn't look great at the top - I would move it to the bottom as suggested.

All done, apart from meta info. Will do that tomorrow, that's a bigger issue as its "already there", just not displaying in page source - my CMS code needs a little tweak.

I must say that I really do appreciate the help and support you are providing. I've been finding it hard to get good honest feedback. My customer's know if it looks good, but lack the web design knowledge to provide good feedback. Family suffers from "parental pride" and always say its amazing...lol

I'd be lost without the help and support on this site.

you can use different color instead of red one. and menu's black background is not looking not niche. you can use another matching colour.

Website now at version 2 after undergoing complete redesign. Content is almost the same, overall appearance is still the same style. Just looks more modern in my opinion.

if it is your 1st website then you get 90/100. i like it.. but can make it more attractive

It is indeed my first site, at version 2. What suggestions would you have to make it more attractive?
