Ivory got a reaction from luminous in My first website, looking for a little feedbackI like it, but I would definitely have the text that is at the top placed at the bottom, also, I would rotate the circles anti-clockwise a little, just to make them easier to read and notice!
Also, being picky(sorry!) viewing the site in Chrome, your email address on the contact section on the home page, extends out of the box.
All in all good content, just needs a little reshuffling to minimise the blank space.

Ivory reacted to cibgraphics in Image CarouselYou don't need to do 3d, and this can be done with javascript very easily (and free). My personal favorite is easySlider (http://cssglobe.com/post/5780/easy-slider-17-numeric-navigation-jquery-slider)

Ivory reacted to charliesaidthat in example of web 3.0Well.... O'Reilly who came up with the term web 2.0 talks about it here and it does get quite in depth!!
Essentially though 2.0 is about user-generated content and the read-write web. People consume as well as contributing information through blogs or sites like Flickr, YouTube, Digg, etc.
3.0 has been called the 'Semantic Web'. - some simplistic definitions and explanations have been written about in slideshows like this.
Simply though, semantic web is all about the personalisation and intelligent behavioural advertising (think about Amazon product recommendation) It will also include the more intelligent search (tailoring to real time and your location).
As an interesting side note... For an overview of what some people have defined as web 4.0 and 5.0 (and yes they are all kinda buzz terms and not really that useful in themselves) you can read What is your Web 5.0 Strategy?
He suggests that 4.0 is more tailored towards mobile users whilst 5.0 will be more emotionally connected in realtime and offer potentially more immersive than what we know now.
If you want to know more drop me a shout on twitter @charliesaidthat
haha nice set up Jack.
